Derbyshire Supported Housing & Living Provider

Established in 1984, here at Swinburne Housing we have over 35 years experience as an independent provider of Supported Living in Derby. We offer support and accommodation to people with complex mental health needs. We specialise in providing supported housing opportunities with both residential and independent living arrangements available. Our support staff are all experienced Registered Mental Nurses (RMN) who work to provide a safe and nurturing environment for service users to grow as individuals; we strive to enable service users by maximising their existing skills and supporting them to learn new ones, ultimately ensuring they’re able to live successfully in their local community.

The primary objective of our service is to improve the overall quality of life of our service users. We do this whilst taking into account the unique wishes and personal preferences of each resident. Alongside providing mental health support, we strive to maintain stable tenancies by encouraging independence, building confidence and improving overall well-being. By offering both residential and independent living opportunities, we have a built in pathway towards enabling further independence. All of our properties are furnished to a high standard throughout as you can see via Our Homes as we believe having a home to be proud of can play an important part in helping people successfully settle into the community.

We are diligent in ensuring that the mental health supported housing service in Derby that we provide remains at the highest standard and is person centred. This means we take on a personalised approach with each service user and focus our efforts on developing and improving the areas of their lives in which they are struggling or require the most assistance. Over the years we have had many success stories and seen some remarkable transformations in character. It’s this that motivates us to always keep improving our service; the pursuit of making a difference in peoples lives and assisting them move past the difficulties that have held them back in the past.
